If you find yourself dealing with a pain issue that seems to radiate from your neck, back, or soft tissues, you’ll need to decide on a course of treatment. Otherwise, you’ll have to resolve yourself to dealing with the pain on your own.

As a top chiropractic care facility, we feel strongly that visiting a facility like ours is a far better resource for treatment. Unlike the invasive options, your primary care physician would probably prescribe, our pain treatment options are far less invasive.

Should you decide to come to us for pain treatment, we’ll recognize the fact you deserve reliable solutions to your health problem or problems. After all, you would be putting your faith in us to help improve the quality of your life.

Of course, our treatment process will start with a full exam. What we don’t want to ever do is take a guesswork approach to making a diagnosis. That is exactly why use our proprietary 3-Part Neurotech Exam to point all of our diagnoses in the right direction. Armed with the right diagnosis, we are confident we will identify the proper course of treatment for patients like you.

At this point, we would like to discuss our actual 3-Part Neurotech Exam and how it helps us get health plans right.

About Our Three-Part Examination

With an eye on providing the best chiropractic care possible, we are always looking to purchase and use state-of-the-art equipment. We will spare no cost when it comes to securing the tools we need to accurately assess and analyze each patient who comes to our facility for help.

With that in mind, our 3-Part Neurotech Exam requires the use of the latest in state-of-the-art scanning and imaging equipment. The three parts of this exam include:

  • Thermal Scanning – measuring autonomic nerve response
  • SEMG Scanning – evaluating muscle activity
  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV) – examines stressed (sympathetic) and calm (parasympathetic) nervous system components

Let’s take a look at how each part of this exam process is used to help us detect issues and make proper diagnoses.

Thermal Scanning

A thermal body exam requires the use of a device that emits infrared light wavelengths. This technology is used to measure a patient’s skin and body temperature.

During the scanning process, the scanner will be comparing a patient’s current skin temperature to human norms. The normal Paraspinal Skin Temperature for humans without any symptomatic problems is 89.78 degrees Fahrenheit. In areas that deviate from the norms, the presumption would be there is a health issue present. The technology also seeks to measure side-to-side (left side to right side) differences in body temperature. Again, this helps a chiropractor zero in on the location of a health issue.

SEMG Scanning

A SEMG scanner measures muscle activity. More specifically, SEMG biofeedback produces information related to “down-train” or elevated muscle activity and “up-train” activity, which relates to weak, inhibited, or paretic muscles. Ultimately, this information can be used to identify health conditions such as

  • Muscle splinting issues
  • Asymmetrical muscle contractions
  • Abnormal muscle reactions
  • Responses to dysafferentation
  • Dysponesis – muscle disorders
  • The severity of a muscle problem

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Testing

Heart rate variability (HRV) testing is done with an electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG). An ECG is a diagnostic machine that measures the time between heartbeats. While you might think your heart is beating at a steady rate, the reality is quite different. In fact, a normal heartbeat will have variations on a regular basis.

For chiropractic purposes, HRV is used to measure variations in the nervous system. Any abnormalities could relate to conditions like

  • Body inflammation
  • Presence of diabetes
  • Cardiovascular conditions or diseases
  • Mental or emotional stress – anxiety, sleep disorders, PTSD
  • Cancer

Turning a 3-Part Neurotech Exam into a Health Plan

The end game of our 3-Part Neurotech Exam process is making a proper diagnosis. Armed with the proper diagnosis, we are better able to determine which chiropractic treatment techniques we need to use to address the pain or health issue at hand for our patients. Based on the findings, we would choose from a list of treatment options that includes:

  • Manual spine manipulations
  • Spinal decompression therapy
  • Deep massage therapeutic techniques
  • Infrared sauna treatments
  • Normatech compression therapy

The success of our chiropractic business is anchored in the reliability of our 3-Part Neurotech Exam process. This is a process that allows us to efficiently and effectively apply the proper treatments that will give patients like you the results you want and deserve.

By the way, we would be remiss to not mention that you could really benefit from getting chiropractic care as part of a personal health maintenance plan. What’s the saying: A ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?”
