What To Expect At Your Local 80027 Chiropractor

Apex Chiropractic, your local 80027 Chiropractor, is a bit different. Before our patients invest to much time with us we will start by showing them around the office to make sure we are a good fit for what they are looking for.

Three-Part Examination

Thermal Scanning

Measures the function of the autonomic nervous system. These are all the involuntary functions our body performs day in and day out.

SEMG Scanning

Pinpoints excess muscle activity throughout the spine

Heart Rate Variability (HRV)

Measures the overall energy level of the body as well as a balance between the stressed (sympathetic) and calm (parasympathetic) sides of our nervous system.

Rolling Thermal Scan

  • Normal Paraspinal Skin Temperature = 89.78
  • John Hopkins Medical Institutions determined normal values for skin temperature differences based upon asymptomatic “normal” individuals. The results were published in the Journal of Neurosurgery. These values can be used as a standard in the assessment of sympathetic nerve function, and the degree of asymmetry is a quantifiable indicator of dysfunction…Deviations from the norm will allow suspicion of neurological pathology to be quantitated and therefore can lead to proper clinical management.”
  • Proven to be reproducible and reliable so any trained professional can do your assessment.
  • In the analysis of thermal differentials, we are concerned with two factors, symmetry and pattern. Symmetry refers to the difference in temperature between the left and right sides at the same spinal levels. Differences in temperature from side to side are maintained within strict limits in healthy persons.

Surface Electromyography (SEMG)

Paraspinal sEMG scans are helpful to determine the following:

  • Asymmetrical contraction
  • Areas of muscle splinting
  • Severity of the condition
  • Abnormal muscle recruitment
  • Responses to dysafferentation

Dysponesis

Dysponesis refers to a REVERSIBLE physiopathologic state consisting of errors in energy expenditure, which can produce function disorders.

SEMG is well supported in medical, chiropractic, and scientific literature.

Heart Rate Variability (HRV)

HRV has been documented as an effective method to objectively measure improvement in nervous system function.

Decreased HRV correlates and/or predicts pathological conditions such as:

  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Inflammation
  • Diabetic Neuropathy
  • Emotional Dysregulation
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Sleep Disorders
  • Cancer.

Conversely, high HRV has been associated with:

  • Healthy Longevity
  • Elite athletes to predict their ability to function optimally in an upcoming workout.
  • HRV is increasingly emerging as a way to assess and predict multiple health outcomes, from disease to thriving health.

Your Local 80027 Chiropractor Provides Digital X-Ray Analysis

Each and every person is different. Depending on your health history and exam findings a set of structural x-rays may be necessary.

What do we look for on X-Ray’s?

  • Get an in depth look at the entire foundation of the body
  • Check for spinal degeneration
  • The information gained far outweighs the risks
  • Rule out pathology such as: fractures, tumors and stenosis

Doctors Report of Findings

We understand the importance of starting care. However, you should not expect an adjustment during your first visit. Dr. Shane, your local 80027 Chiropractor, needs time outside of regular patient hours to thoroughly analyze the results of your discovery appointment. He will have your report of findings complete by the following day.

*Dr. Shane will make exceptions for cases he deems to be severe.

On your way out one of our team members will schedule your Doctors Report of Findings which where Dr. Shane will discuss your discovery appointment results and you will get your first Torque Release adjustment!
